In a dark and rain-soaked New York, a grieving man moves through the city performing strange rituals in the hope of reaching what he has lost most.

director's bio

Ibrahim Kargbo Jnr is a Sierra Leonean-born filmmaker turning analogue grit into modern mythmaking. He shot his first film at eleven and never really stopped, honing his Super 8, 16mm and 35mm craft in South Korea and Portugal, and carrying that tactile discipline into the velocity of contemporary culture. On set, he has sharpened his steel as an AD on Deadpool & Wolverine, House of the Dragon S2, and Bob Marley: One Love.

Off set, he builds pipelines, not just films: co-founding Amenno, an independent film studio creating bold work and meaningful cinema experiences, and widening access to analogue through the POC-led co-operative not/nowhere.

Recent highlights include a BFI Southbank spotlight, the APA New Talent Showcase, and presenting work with Mono No Aware in New York. Across shorts, music videos and brand work, he brings a community-first, story-led approach, making films that carry feeling before flash.

A filmmaker in motion, where community, urgency and beauty move as one.
